Berger Baby
Well.. the news is pretty much out now. Josh and I are having a baby!!! We are expecting a little firecracker, due on the 4th of July. I am almost 10 weeks pregnant now and am looking forward to getting the next four weeks over with and heading into my second trimester. I have been pretty sick (I'll spare you all the details) and been having allllllllll day nausea for a few weeks now. We had our first doctor's appointment about 2 weeks ago and we got to take a peek at the little bean. We got to see its little heart beating (139 bpm), which was pretty exciting for us since we didn't think we'd get any sort of ultrasound or sonogram until the big 20 week one. We have decided to go with the midwives instead of an OB/GYN and I am pretty excited to meet them. There are 6 or 7 of them and during your prenatal appointments you get to meet each of them. Then whoever is on call will deliver your baby, so there is no risk of getting to the hospital and not knowing the person delivering your baby. It's been a pretty crazy ride so far and I am still in a little bit of shock, but so thrilled. I think everyone was a little bit surprised by our news so it was pretty fun telling them. My sister actually thought I was lying to her, haha. Anyways, it should be a little easier to keep up with this now. Since I have some pretty drastic changes coming up, I'm sure I'll have plenty to write about!

Wow
I'm doing a great job of keeping this updated huh? I love reading other people's blogs, but then find I never have much to talk about on mine! Probably because my life is pretty monotonous right now. I go to school and do homework during the week, work one day a week, and go to high school football games, church, and youth group on the weekends. I think I've pretty much got you all caught up on my life since the last post!

FAT LIP
Josh is trying to get a college ministry started for college-aged kids in our area. Tonight we had our first little get together, and we had a blast. We went to the Kickapoo, the local state park, and had a little cookout to start with. Then we played a crazy game with the frisbees. One person throws 8 frisbees (stack them up and throw them all at the same time) that are 4 different colors. Each color is worth a different amount of points and the other people try to catch the frisbees. Well, I got a little overzealous/stupid and got myself a pretty sweet fat lip. There were two frisbees coming at my face at one time. I had my eye on the purple one because it was worth the most points and while I was waiting for it to get to me the blue one busted me in the lip. I knew immediately I had a fat lip, but Josh told me, "Oh, it's not that bad." So I finished up the game and went and looked at it in the bathroom. Not that big my butt. It was huge and everyone stared at it all night. Haha. Here are a few pictures. These pictures really don't do it justice because it had gone way down by the time I got access to my camera, but it's still fairly big in them.
After the crazy frisbee game we played a round of frisbee golf, in which I didn't fair so well. And then we went on a bike ride, which was alot of fun. I'm excited that tomorrow is the last day of the work week and can't wait for the weekend. Woot Woot.
Weekend Happenings
Well, we did go to the farmer's market this weekend. We didn't really get anything because I just wanted to go check it out. I also failed at getting any good pictures. I had my camera out and ready on the way with every intent to document everything, but then I got too nervous to take pictures once I got there (I really just forgot). These are the only two pictures I got and they were both on the way there.
On Sunday we held the second annual Cometland Youth Decathalon. Although this year it ended up being a nonathon or whatever it would be with nine events because Nate Dawg busted the whiffle ball bat with his massive strength a few batters in. The ten events included cornhole, horseshoes, croquet, bocce ball, frisbee golf, knockout, kickball, sunflower seed spitting contest, three legged race, and whiffle ball homerun derby. It was really hot, but we managed to cool ourselves off with lots of popsicles and everyone had a really good time. <3

One Week Down
Today was the end of my first week at my internship. This week was new employee orientation, and next week is nursing orientation. I'm pretty tired of all this orientation, but at least I am getting paid for it!! I've also met alot of interesting people, and by interesting I mean strange and perhaps slightly neurotic, but entertaining none the least. Do you ever find yourself wondering how some people get by in life? I know I do.
Anyways. A couple of weeks ago I was visiting my friend Ray up in the Chicagoland area and she really wanted to go get cinnamon rolls from the Wheaton Farmer's Market. I went with her, and ever since I've been obsessed with it. I came home and immediately tried to find one. Apparently, Urbana has one of IL's biggest and best farmer's markets. Here is the link if you want to check it out:

So, tomorrow I am going to go check it out!! I'll try to remember to take some picutres and let you know how it goes:)

One Year Later
Wow... I did a really good job of keeping this fairly updated, didn't I? Well since it has been almost a year since my last post I guess I should update. I just finished my first year of nursing school and I loved it. Although it was crazy busy and extremely stressful, I am so excited about being a nurse. I just started my summer internship at the VA in Danville and am eager to practice my skills over the next few months. It's hard to believe that one year from now I will be done with school. (I promise to update again before then.) This past year has flown by!
Josh just began a new position with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). He is the area representative for our area and will be working wiht several FCA huddle leaders all over our county and two surrounding counties. He is still working as a youth pastor as well. This job seems to be the perfect supplement for him. Since both jobs are 20hrs/wk it adds up to 40hrs/wk and each one comes with different benefits.
Murphy is sweet as ever and probably is truly my best friend. haha. He is getting really big and some of the puppy in him is starting to wear off. He loves steak and loves to come sleep on my head early in the morning.
Anyways, I am really enjoying this summer so far. I like the concept of going to work and then coming home and not having to do homework until I feel the need to scream. I am hoping to really start blogging as a way to document/journal my life and experiences.
