One Week Down

Today was the end of my first week at my internship. This week was new employee orientation, and next week is nursing orientation. I'm pretty tired of all this orientation, but at least I am getting paid for it!! I've also met alot of interesting people, and by interesting I mean strange and perhaps slightly neurotic, but entertaining none the least. Do you ever find yourself wondering how some people get by in life? I know I do.

Anyways. A couple of weeks ago I was visiting my friend Ray up in the Chicagoland area and she really wanted to go get cinnamon rolls from the Wheaton Farmer's Market. I went with her, and ever since I've been obsessed with it. I came home and immediately tried to find one. Apparently, Urbana has one of IL's biggest and best farmer's markets. Here is the link if you want to check it out:

So, tomorrow I am going to go check it out!! I'll try to remember to take some picutres and let you know how it goes:)

One Year Later

Wow... I did a really good job of keeping this fairly updated, didn't I? Well since it has been almost a year since my last post I guess I should update. I just finished my first year of nursing school and I loved it. Although it was crazy busy and extremely stressful, I am so excited about being a nurse. I just started my summer internship at the VA in Danville and am eager to practice my skills over the next few months. It's hard to believe that one year from now I will be done with school. (I promise to update again before then.) This past year has flown by!

Josh just began a new position with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes). He is the area representative for our area and will be working wiht several FCA huddle leaders all over our county and two surrounding counties. He is still working as a youth pastor as well. This job seems to be the perfect supplement for him. Since both jobs are 20hrs/wk it adds up to 40hrs/wk and each one comes with different benefits.

Murphy is sweet as ever and probably is truly my best friend. haha. He is getting really big and some of the puppy in him is starting to wear off. He loves steak and loves to come sleep on my head early in the morning.

Anyways, I am really enjoying this summer so far. I like the concept of going to work and then coming home and not having to do homework until I feel the need to scream. I am hoping to really start blogging as a way to document/journal my life and experiences.
